Two months ago, around this time, I was preparing to head out to the airport to start another adventure in Lombok with Han. We were off to an epic start; almost missing our flight in the morning, got lost at Jakarta airport (I swear their signage are misleading) and etc. Lombok is definitely my kind of place. I was in love with the greens of mountains and rice field. Plus, all the food we had was delicious like no other and not to mention, everything was super cheap. The only downside was that it was still the rainy season. That might explain some of the gloomy looking sky in the pictures. Fortunately, most of the rain came once we were done with the day. None of the pictures can justify the beauty of this place. Nonetheless, enjoy.
The view on the way to Gili Island was superb. Too bad I was seating on the other side of the boat to capture it. Didn't take many pictures there cause all I really cared was to get under water and I didn't want to bother getting my camera wet. Too bad we were late for the public snorkeling boat so we ended up paying more for a 2-hour private tour instead. Regret cancelling our accommodation in Gili Air. Would love to spend at least a night on that island.
By far the most the beautiful waterfall I have ever come across. This just feeds to my fascination for waterfalls.
Loved the second the accommodation we stayed at; the whole concept of traditional + modern, right on top of a hill, with a huge glass window by your bed (gets awkward at times when people pass by) but who's complaining when you get to enjoy the sunset from the comfort of your bed. Plus, they have speakers in the room where you can plug in your music all night long. Definitely recommend this place if you want something away from the crowd.
